What's wrong with my setup?

I didn't get a ported box cause I listen to metal etc. I thought that ported was best for hip hop/ rap. The sealed makes for tighter music, correct?

If you are going off that glass in the back you should be doing better than people running better setups.

Yes it's a v6. What do you mean by going off the glass? Are you guys familier with the trunk of a 93-02 camaro/firebird? It seems to give me the best sound when I have the box in the very back of the trunk, in the "hole back there" with the sub fronts pointed up towards the hatch glass.

Incorrect...Ported tuned right will sound better and hit harder than a sealed POS.

I'm guessing since there's a lot of kickdrum bass hits, a ported box tuned in the mid 40's should be best. IMO

Alright, I just went out in the cold and took out one of the subs. They are Sony Xplod XS-L100P5W Peak Power 1100w Freq Response. 25hz-2800hz Rated power 300w impedance 4 ohms. Please note that I am in no form an auto expert lol. So please fill me in.

ok so you have 600 watts of subs running on 360 watts of amp. you need a bigger amp. even tho people r gonna crap on you for having sony, two tens in a firebird fired off the hatch should satisfy you. you arent gonna break any records but thats not what you are looking for.

they are actually decent sq subs

try them in 1.25 ported at 38hz they will bang if you feed them 4-500 rms each
