Looking for a caliper to measure gaps in motors. Where to buy?

mitutoyo are the best
Alot of people will disagree with you there. Fowler makes a quality digital, and Brown & Sharp make some good calipers. It all comes down to how they feel to you. I currently use a set of Fowlers and they are pretty nice. Very little slack in the slide bar. Only problem i have is they shut off too fast and do not wake up on action.

But i am also a machinist and use calipers, mics, and height gauges for 10 to 12 hours a day.

so does my brother he has for over 20 yrs i have been in the auto industry for the same time frame as well and while i like all of them i have had better luck with ISO 9006 mitutoyo than any others

but they are all very good
