What's wrong with JL Amps

I dont seem to hear too much about JL's defunct e-line, now the A-line with supposedly most of the internals of the Slash series.

I have the A6450 and I love it (granted, Im a noob).

Not that I've heard anyone rip JL, but I never see anyone recomend them.

What am I missing?

nothing is wrong with them they are very sexy amps especially in black its just that people around here dont typically have the budget for such things and those that do are going other routes (Arc, DLS, Zapco etc)

Also for the same price you would pay for say the JL 1000/1 you can get another amp that put out the same power or more for alot less.

Ditto.. Highly recommended if you don't mind paying the price.. I'm really happy with mine and I don't think I would trade them for anything else in their power class.. Rock solid amps..

yes correct ^^^ and the slash series are FAR from cheap... the 1000/1 has a retail price of over 1000$ on it a little pricey imo for the amp compared to others id take first. these are very nice amps. they perform well and are reliable. but imo a little on the overpriced side when authorized... those black ones look so awsome in person almost makes me want to run them, they just are so sweet in black... but the e series were good amps.. and as said above the a series are supposed to make them even more reliable..

it all depends on wat setup ur doing,like low budget,medium,or a throw down system,a good solid 1000rms amp could be as little as 350.00,or as much as 1000.00,all depends on the build quality,thd,wat ohm it plays at,class d or a/b,theres alot of factors involved

i ditched all three of my JL slash series amps last year. i hated them. absolutly garbage. its funny, a JL 500/1 is actually more expensive than a zapco reference 500.1 which is a much better amp. the 1000/1 is like 100 bucks less than a 1100.1 which is a much better amp.
