this guy at work told me that 10ns sound good inside the car and that 12vs sound good out side the car. and 15s sound good 2-3 blocks away. is this true?

yeah a killer 10 will outperform a lesser quality 12 but "apples to apples", same subs with boxes built to specs and power to specs the 10 is gonna have less displacement(given you know this prolly but should be stated). but if you just want killer bass using tens then yeah its very possible. theres a vid of a single 8 going nuts around here somewhere.1 10" given a good enclosure and amp, can indeed outperform a 12" (relatively average) any day.
