What's wrong with have 10 inch subs?

That's an awful broad generalization ~ assuming in both situations everything has been implemented properly a pair of really good 10s will outperform average or less than average 12s seven days a week ~ twice on Sundays //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

no they will not hit as hard as a 12" but many people prefer them over 12's or bigger. Its all about personal preference. like stated above.

You're right, I would hope people had enough common sense to understand this.

depends on how much room, preference, if they're going for sq, spl or a mix, etc. etc. that is a very vague question by all means.

1 10" given a good enclosure and amp, can indeed outperform a 12" (relatively average) any day.
