final update, i took the w7's out and put in the type r 10's, HUGE difference, i mean freaking HUGE. the type r's are slot ported and the are dual4 ohm som the amp is seeing a 1ohm load and it finally woke up.I cant believe that going from sealed to ported, from 1.5 to 1 ohm on the same amp could make that big of a differnce. The jl's on this amp didnt sound like anything at all, definately not 1000 watts of power, but the alpines do. So i guess i may need another amp.1 that puts out 1000 watts or more around 2 ohms so i can get the other car back together. Now i am satisfied with this amplifier, just not good for my jl's sealed.
