Whats wrong here?

there s a comp at soundcrafters tomorrow i ll be there so will other competitors if you can t get it solved tonight come by over there and i ll give you a hand

I only got to 1:08 before I saw a problem. I bet the amp goes into protect huh? its cause your speaker wires are touching each other at the terminal. You dont need 8 gauge dude, get smaller wire. That or connect them better with banana plugs.
lol... it is pretty bad.

that car looks like a death trap. you should use a grommet on the firewall too.

alright ill try that.
Is duct tape alright to use instead of eletrical? It looks like shit but I dont have any electrical
I was going to mention that too.. Ideally, if everything is correct, you shouldn't even need electrical tape, but for your sake, get some electrical tape, d00d!

wow find someone to help you it sounds like you dont know what your doing at all.
hey how about relaxing huh?

Anyway, the rca's are just channel wires, they tell what sound where to go. If you mix the colors of the rcas it wont screw anything up except (for example) the sound youd expect from the front right speaker might play from the rear left speaker.

The most important things to worry about are:

Power wire fused close to the battery (done)

remote wire from HU is well connected to the amp

a good ground close to the amp itself- no paint, grime, dirt to get a good contact

speaker wire in the correct locations

all the wires above must NOT touch each other and have a secure and clean connection

alright ill try that.

If its worth doing, its worth doing it right.

Rca's should go where it says input on the amp.. Don't quote me, but I think it's the left side on the amp. I would also change out your ground, or scrap the paint around the bolt you have it on, and make sure your speaker wires connected @ the terminals on your box are not touching each other.
if you could find another place and do as he said with the ground and using a lock washer to stop it from spinning and loosening and causing the ground to arc

Okay, but will a bad ground still cause my subs not to work?

- I just messed with it some more. Re-wired the terminals on the outside, taped them and no wires were touching.

-Put the RCA's in the right place, even tried the different spot on teh HU, and still nothing

Thats all I could really do. Too dark to see any new places for a new ground. My garage door is ****ed up, and its really cold, no light.

I'll take a stab at it. Is the amp on Master? not too familiar with hifonics amps, but maybe there might be a master/slave setting on it. Or something to that effect if you were trying to strap two of them together
