I'd like to see everyone had as much data as me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. I'd also like to see everyone be as objective. While I do agree with supa_c's post following yours Mark, I would like to say that I do take all of your posts seriously when it comes to subs because you are able to provide information like you stated about your wall setup. I would be nice if everyone else on the R bandwagon could do the same, and would make their arguments easily twice as strong. Example, what is Tobias's DD box really like? It has never been posted in one of these R comparos.
It was 100% non-directional... which is the whole idea. If I had a strong midbass, it would have really sounded kickass. The subs don't need to dip into the midbass range, at all. I'm not really a hardcore SQ guy, but I can appreciate good sound. I'd rather have a big hole than that horrid horrid bass behind you feeling.and above 45hz ?Very little music will have bass as low as 28hz.
Audiolife's Firebird made it to World Finals......his IDW's were lowpassed at 90hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifDoes that mean I have to x mine over at 60-80? 80hz is entirely too high... so is 60 IMO.
All this talk of SQ, and then a high xover point... you'll get smacked if you try to xover that high at an SQ comp... the bass will pull so hard to the rear.
What are you, 12?I think your mom is worthless.
So then STFU and stop arguing with them about it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/idea.gif.5acb6a39a9b92425414c316dda202bad.gifBottom line is...I don't give a **** what you or spkrman say about SE's....mine sound good and that's all that matters.
completely uncalled for, but i laughed when i read it so it was kind of funny none the less.I think your mom is worthless.
He did a 150 even.what was it mark like 148.x or something with the R 12's when you brought 'em to norris' for the dbDrag, with no tuning whatsoever....
Give me 24 of ANYTHING and i'll make em loud. Quality > quantity. I saw the car at dB drag finals, now while impressive, similar scores could be done with less equipment and a properly setup ported box. Don't get me wrong though, tommy's (ho problems) truck is loud. But i'd hope that 24 12's would be loud. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifI think your mom is worthless. If I remember correctly, doesn't Ho Problems have like 24 SE 12's?? Bottom line is...I don't give a **** what you or spkrman say about SE's....mine sound good and that's all that matters.
The RE is the entry level sub, SE is next up on the list. A formative comparison, even if the type-r is cheaper. And like i've said before, MY type-r outperformed MY SX. Will that hold true in everyone's setup till the end of time? No. But doesn't that give me a LITTLE right to say to people what I think would be the better performer? Why not? You're comparing RE's entry level sub, to Alpines second hardest hitter.
