Stuff happens. I talked to the guy already. Very rare for chrome motors (made by anyone) to have any such issues as chrome first requires a copper plating and ALSO the chrome layer -- pretty robust.
Since you have absolutely no data on the statistical prevalence of any such issue your statement, "You might want to find a new place to chome" has no factual basis to be made and is thus irrelevant.
I've seen rusty TC Sounds LMS-5400 motors ($1,000+ drivers), rusty Fi motors, rusty Kicker motors, etc, etc. Someone else shared a photo of a Morel driver with rust... the motor on my DLS Iridium mids rusted over time ($1,200 component set). So on and so forth. It's steel and if the finish is compromised it rusts -- it's a fact of the material.
