Whats this wire

Okay,,,well i used one end of it at hu...and am goin to use other at remote end..The thing that is confusing is that the wire size is small. But I didnt get a chance to mess with it tonight..I willtomoror though...Thanks for the input...Cause the amp should turn on everytime the radio comes on, should it not? Or is there a way i can turn it on and off from inside the car....This is in the trunk
a couple different ways of course that you can do that... a SPST switch (toggle switch) wired in series in the Rem+ line....but, I would personally use a relay with said switch... it will provide enough power to Multiple amps/components (if you are going to be adding more in the future) Someone will probably correct me, but an un-modified deck should let you, without any problems, remotely turn on at least three components or more without any problem. But, do you really want to be manually turning your amps on and off... kind of defeats the convenience of the Rem+ lead and saves your battery by not draining it with the vehicle turned off. (I know, I know...he can pull his power for the relay off the fuse box but, again... why even do it?)

Well I guess Ill find out tonight.....I guess Im not undertanding is: Does it turn on everytime i turn the key back or start car, or can i turn it on and off when i wnat..If so how..i dont have a remote control...all i got was a bass knob with a bphone cord

the purpose of a HU remote wire is to trigger, and turn on the amp(s) whenever the HU is turned on.

If you have an amp or amps you want to be OFF when the HU's ON, you'd need a switch installed on the remote line.

Well thats what I thought...The problem is being this...The only wire left on teh stock end was the BLUE wire...It is teh power antenna wire....from the CD player i had a BLue wire left and a BLue White wire...SO thats myproblem....So i hooked it up to the Blue wire coming from HU..so maybe i need it to be from blue and white

it really doesnt matter as long as the wire sends a constant signal once the hu is on it will be fine, that small current is just needed to turn the amp on, so as long as that wire doesnt stay hot all the time with the car off you should be fine, if you got a multimeter just put one lead on the wire and another on the chasis somewhere and if it reads any voltage while the car is off then you cant use that wire b/c your amp will never turn off unless you use a switch, now if it doesnt read anything turn your hu on and if it reads something then thats what you are lookin for

Blue/wht is generally amp turn on. Solid blue should be PA, but it wouldn't be hard to check it w/a dmm.

Cool, Thanks guys..Hooked it up last night..It was right...System is nice.. I freakin love it...Havent really turned them up yet, but havent set gains or anythign like that eihter....But man was it a ***** getting the power wire on teh battery...Wouldnt fit

on teh aftermarket cd player, blue is for remote, blue/white is for power antenna/remote...use whichever u like and protect the other one from being grounded to the chassis

If it's the x890...

BLUE = Antenna

BLUE/WHT = Amp Remote

Which corresponds with about every brand I know of.

If both are present it's important to use blue/wht for amps since power antenna leads deactivate when the cd player is used.
