OK guys besides the gas mileage what's some con's to running a dual alt. Setup in a daily driver?
^^^^pft...that guy!!^^^^
cons are more $$ to spend and possibly more headaches to deal with when troubleshooting. Most people have issues running multiple batteries/alts.
alt's are more $$ than batteries.
Hell even batteries have gone up in price over the course of the years.
Dis hobby is expensive mane
Batteries do'nt last that long anymore....wtf you smokin'?!
Replacing a working battery with another doesn't count.Last year we took out tank charge agm batts that were 7years old and still loading testing fine. I replace my batts every 3 years song don't have problems
No worries bro.....we like to throw thangs at each other every now and then. But...we speak the truth too.I was asking just to see if it places any added stress to the engine or any other mechanical operating part of the vehicle. Sorry if my question seems a little to noobish to you but I'm making sure I'm covering all my basics on this, because like boomintahoe stated this is quite an expensive hobby lol.
I have a 275 amp alt. I plan to use I know alts. Make power and batts. Store it I was just asking to be sure there isn't any side effects to running duals though. I'm not butthurt or anything just keeping up with dialogue lolNo worries bro.....we like to throw thangs at each other every now and then. But...we speak the truth too.
He is right tho....a new HO alt will get you a stronger electrical but be aware it takes $$ to get more/better power.
More alternators the more resistance when under a load. Nothing crazy will happen to your vehicle thoughI was asking just to see if it places any added stress to the engine or any other mechanical operating part of the vehicle.
