ok so if i run 2 15" hdc3s two aq2200d's running at 40 hz. i should be good.

Running a pair of Aq 2200's will be over 3k watts of real usable power. This will require a bit of an electrical upgrade lots of 1/0 wire 2 runs front to back and enough to upgrade your charging and grounding points. Not to mention at least 2 extra batteries to keep them happy.

A pair of HDC 15's and 2 2200's and you will be good to go.

depends alot on the power he plans to run as well, cuz if he's only running 2k watts to his btl, than 3500 on 2 15's would beat him, got more power, for more cone area. however with you being a trunk car and him having an SUV, your going to need the 2 2200's and a well designed box, possible sealed off from the trunk firing into the cabin to keep up with him.

not to mention the fairly extensive electrical upgrades your both going to have to take care of

I guees I misread that, I thought he had the blazer. Very true a pair of 15's from the trunk is a entirely different game.

You need to make sure you have enough room for a pair of 15's. if you stuff them in the trunk in a small box the output will suffer. A pair of 12's and a solid design is your best bet.

The C's had to have not liked that box. Not sayin that accounts for all 2 DBs but it had to count for some.

True, but lower peak and a lower score is a bit contradicting. If it peaked higher and dropped it could be a break in issue. Just seems a bit drastic for a drop in comparison. I own both HD's and the C's they sound very similiar to me although the Hd's are 12's and the C's are 10's.
