2 aq3500 on the 12's or 2 2200's on the 15's In a 1994 explorer

**** doing the 4 12 hdc's off of 2 aq3500 would be expensive as hell, and u goin to have to do alot electrical work too.
But if money isnt a factor do the 4 12's, just cuz too many people have 2 15" HDC off 2 aq2200D thats a common setup on this site

4-12's, more cone area and more power. if you've got the dollar, the space, the time, the patience and the ability... do it.
and like stillfly said, don't forget your electrical, with either one of those setups, your looking at between 4k and 6k watts, your GOING to need a bigger alternator, big 3 done in 1/0 or bigger, all your power and ground wires in 1/0 or bigger, and multiple batteries.

I think I have my mind made up, 4 hdc 12's 4 aq2200d amps Big three in 4/0 8 runs of 1/0 250 or 300 amp alt. 4 powermaster d3100 batts.

That will get loud. And yes, you will probably need exactly those kind of upgrades when running nearly 9000 watts.

Yeah 4 on 4 2200's would be sick
i would definately go for 300amp alt or mutiples, 9000w is alot even for a 300amp alt, batts look good i think 4 3100 or hc2400 or deka 9a31's would be sufficient, multiple runs of 1/0 and 4/0 for big 3 is fine everything is fine except the alt, 300amp or mutiples, but i wish someone with more experience would chime in
