Would you prefer RE simply sell direct at the higher dealer costs rather than the cheaper prices they offer now? As that's the only alternative.Just a sign of the company to me. Customer is #1 not the shops because in the end it is the customer that has to pay the price, whatever it is. Hell and the fact that they don't decisivly control the prices at which their product is sold is beyond me. Whenever someone has to choose between another woofer and theirs, the RE is way overpriced.........stupid. Sell cheap and make up the price in volume then offer end of year incentives based on total sales. Get the customer and stroke the retailer. Win, win.
I mean all the shop is doing is padding the price so that they can discount on an install to msrp at max. WTF? We as customers can't have our cake and eat to because business wants to eat it all. It should be a meeting halfway. Bullshit a$$ keystoning and worse. Hell the company I work for has retailers sell triple cost. Talk about screwing the customer.
The local shop isn't "padding", he's trying to make a profit to cover his overhead. I seriously doubt the guy's buying a yacht off his profits from RE woofers. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
I dont know why you say the RE woofers are always overpriced, their prices seem reasonable to me considering the performance. *shrug* edit: unless you mean prices at some local shop, as I wouldn't know those price comparisons.
