um 2 be honest......i've heard all the w7's from the 8 to the 13...and to be honest with u guys........they are good subs dont get me wrong.....but for the sound they put out i can find a sub thats cheaper and still put out good in not better sound then the w7's.......now the only w7 i would buy is the 8w7 and that would be 4 a small system that will pound (well until soundsplinter comes out with that lovely rl-i8)......other than that..if i want some big shiit to go in my car i'm going with re sx or xxx or (if my electrical can take it) the mt

Man, I shoulda considered getting a SExxx instead of an SE only. Anyways, I have a SE and a HC now. I hear the SE is a SQ driver, and a HC is a SPL/ SQ driver. How would both of these compare on paper?

Take alook below the amp(ad for sub). called XXX soundstream .........................Also for who psted below him. I dont think anybody could purchase soundstream b/c they are huge. BTW they own Kicker.

Um, Power Acoustik bought Soundstream quite a long while ago....like, years ago. I assumed by now that was pretty common knowledge.

More SPL, maybe...same SQ, it's no where near the same. It's not even on a basis to compare at all. Now, from what I've heard, the xxx can rival in SQ (although I have not actually heard one)...the SX just isn't close though in that area IMHO.

My XXX sounds better than my boys W7.

He has the W7 in a lincoln LS. It's in a JL ported enclosure for the W7. Ran off a 1000.1

Mine is in a 2.0 cubic foot box tuned to 29 powered by a hifonics BX1500d. In a montero sport.

He even agrees my sub gets louder by a little and sounds a little more acurate. Especially on metal or rock. The loudness is noticed on most hiphop songs.

Now these are 2 different cars but it just goes to show you the XXX has potential.

Actually... they sent me RE 12 instead of SE 12 so the SE is on the way. The HC is definitely loud (I know your j/k), since I have a b12 to compare it with //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

IMO id rather just spend half the cost of the w7....and if the w7 is louder then my XXX then i dont want to hear it....the xxx is almost to much for me as it is. I've only heard it with 1100 watts going to it also, so i cant wait to hear it with 2500 watts. Yeah I have the 12". I built a 2.5 cubic foot box tuned to 32hz and lets just say. I could not take it. It was too loud for my tastes.

I was testing it out rolling down the street and people were looking at me wierd //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif So I turned it down.

I find the smaller box tuned lower sounds cleaner on the sub just not as loud. And the box is smaller //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

AND

The XXX and W7 are pretty much equals...so pick which one you feel the best about. Also, I believe the XXX has the ability to get louder than the w7. peace
