what's my best option

I have a jl 8" w3v2 4ohm running off an alpine mrp350 amp (200watts@4ohm, 350@2ohm). I recently put boston pro 60's in the front doors and sl 65's in the rear, running off an alpine mrp-f 300. The sub seems to plateau pretty early, and if I keep turning the volume up, it can't keep up. I like the sound of it when the volume is low or mid. I generally only listen to rock and country, so I'm not looking for more bass, I just want my sub to keep up with the rest of my system. I was wondering if I got a 8" sub that is 2ohm if that would help, since I could use all of my amp? other than that, i don't know. Also, who makes a good, 2ohm 8"?

Image Dynamics IDQv3, i had JLw3, w6,w7 in the past, ID sub sound better, i have 2 12 IDQv3 in seal box run off a Arc Audio KS Series 1000.1 they sound so clean never go back to JL.
