Whats more important?

What's more important in the big 3? I don't have enough wire to do it all at once, so I'm going to do it piece by piece. I was wanting to know what's more important. Battery ground, engine ground or alt to batt? I'm thinking battery ground, because you need to be able to transfer that energy somewhere, and with an upgraded alt. to battery. wire, and still on the stock grounding cable, it takes quite a bit?

Alt to Batt & Batt to Ground

First batt ground, then engine ground, least important would be alt to battery.

At least thats what I've always been told.

I would think to go in this order. Batt - Gnd (shortest), then alt - pos (typically the longest). Lastly engine to gnd
