whats better

was wondering what box would perform the best in my brothers truck. ( front, down, or up firing) he has a 2000 chevy silverado ext cab and is going to be installing 2 12 w3v2 under the rear seat. he mostly look for sq if that helps at all and was also wondering if the Alpine IVA-D310 HU is any good or is the kenwood excelon really worthe the $1700.

if its under the rear seat the only way he could it was to downfire

downfiring if you are going sealed. my woofers are upfiring ported under the rear seat of my 05 silverado ext cab. woofers are countersunk so they dont hit the seat.

yeah he is going sealed since he mainly look for clean bass and would u guys say these would be the best boxes since those are the only 12in boxes i could find.

how are you upfiring them? do you have a pretty big gape between the top of the box and your subs?

i'd pick the Kenwood unit just for the versatility of it, which excelon are you speaking of though as there are many

if your gonna spend 1700on a deck get the alpine h701 i think its called, probably the greatest invention known to man.

my bad thought i said which one it was. i was talking about the XXV-05V and how do u all like the ipod interface for the 2 HU i mentioned. imo the only sh**Y thing about the interfaces is that u cant play videos off of the ipod.

As for pre-made sub boxes you also can try Subthump.com and probox.com - they both make pre-fab boxes for ext cab silverados 99-06 models as well as older models.
