Type Rs would be a good choise for you, but im going to vouch for the Type X in Jco1385 T Bird, that was a loud @ss single sub setup, and a bottom end monster.

A used Sundown 1500 or IA 20.1 would do you just fine. They're pretty common to find in the classifieds section on this website.

good choice. build a ported box tuned low 29-33hz and give them the juice and you'll be very happy

get the 12"s btw

with 2K I would get 2 15" Icons and 2 Sundown 1000's you could spens 1 grand and get 2 of these deals from SSA

In a correct enclosure these subs should sound ten times better and get louder than t2's

Or a single 12 with 3k runs $1215 and then 400 for alt, 150 on 1/0 wire and get an enclosure built correctly with whats left, you would probbaly be louder and imagine the look when you show him a single 12

on a single SAZ-3000d, 300 amp alternator, Stinger 2150 battery, all run at 1 ohm, except for the DD 9512, which was done at .5 ohms, due to coil configuration on the only one I could get for this weekend. 5 burps were done on each sub, given appropriate cooldown in between burps.

they typr R option is still good option though its a relativly cheap driver that takes tons of power and does good #

never heard any Rs either. i know this X slams and sounds damn good while doing it

x sounds good.. never hurd one slam tho... and we where giveing it well over 1000w rms in 2cu ft at 34hz..
