Whats better 1 or 2 subs?

Do you think it's better to have 2 cheaper subs or 1 nice sub? I was thinking of selling my two 03 kicker comps and a cheap amp and getting a diamond audio d3 sub. Do you think this would sound better and still hit just as hard?

wrd... i use to be all into having 2 subs, until i decided to go single with the right enclosure/power. it was better than having 2 subs!!!

I will always take one good, well installed, properly powered subwoofer versus 2 average subs. Less to wire, less to mess with, less space needed, less to go wrong.
