Whats an upgrade I can do to get my system louder?

Oh btw this is just for daily driving, im just talking about louder to the ear, i dont care about what it meters.
also, how good is this deck? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KENWOOD-EXCELON-CD-HEADUNIT-PLAYER-KDC-X711-RDS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ38641QQihZ018QQitemZ280036032565QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW#ebayphotohosting

And what is the phase of the sub? I dont really know what that means.
As far as the deck...you'll probally get what you pay for....if you notice it doesn't say it plays and also notice...sold as is

Well can some one link me to a good deck on ebay? preferably around 200 shipped with 5v preouts and isnt fugly.

Also about that RAAMaudio sound deadaner, its like the same price as dynamat, which is expensive.

And what is the phase of the sub? I dont really know what that means.
ex: When all your speakers hit a bass note, they are all suppose to move out at the same time. This means they are all in phase with each other. But let's say the sub is not in sync & it moves in instead of out compared to the other speakers. This means that the sub is out of phase. swithing the wires that run to speaker box, from - to + & + to - will change the phase of the sub.

Having a sub out of phase with your front speakers really has a drastic affect on how loud your ears perceive the bass. If your sub is out of phase & you correct it, your system will sound louder to you & the bass will really sound like it's coming from the front.

Does that makes sense?

A simple experiment that could possibly save you money.

Yea i understand the phase thing, but what can I change to get it in phase?

Also, how much rammat will i need for my SUV to reduce the rattle? and how easy is it to install?

Keep in mind that It already might be in phase. Just something to check to make it's correct to begin with.

To change the phase, just switch the wires around at the speaker box terminal. Very simple.

Switch it & have a listen in the front seat. If you notice it sounds better, then leave it. But if it sounds worse, then simply switch it back.

One 70 sq ft roll should be enough to do the rear sidewalls, liftgate & floor. I wouldn't worry about it though till spring, unless you have a garage.

the easiest way to get more loudness is a bigger box with a bigger port turned 5hz or so higher. also... resin the inside of the box, use sections of PVC pipe to round the corners of a slot port and the box itself. flare your port opening. brace more to reduce resonance, seal the mounting hole better and play with the boxes location in the hatch/rear/trunk.

Sound deadening gives you more apparent loudness by blocking out outside sounds and reducing energy wasting panel resonance.

New subs that are better suited for your listening habits or more efficient with the amount of power you have give you more loudness with the same power.

you can upgrade your sub amp.

you can run your current amp at a lower impedance (if it can take it)

an upgraded electrical system (big 3, bigger power run wire, high output battery, second battery and HO alternator) give your amp more electricity to work with and reduce voltage drop which allows your amp to play louder.

and... i dunno, i'm sure i'm forgetting plenty of stuff, but theres lots of thinks you can do to a daily driver to get louder...
