What's an adequate resting voltage for 2nd battery?

if you charge it you can make it rest higher if you want. i was under the impression that a higher resting voltage means the battery stores more power. i was able to get my powermaster d3100 batteries to rest at 13.9 instead of 13.3 with the amps powered up. i got the same voltage drop and the same db.

If it's a lead acid battery, the voltage at your battery terminals will drop quickly as soon as you remove the charging source from the battery to 13.2v, then slowly drop to between 12.6v and 12.8v if the battery is fully charged. 12.55v is very close to fully charged resting voltage.
