Whats a good sub for SQ? under $200

SQ with an emphasis on loud. Technically a made up term, so just think about the middle ground between SQ and SPL.

What genres will you mainly be listening to?

So the Image Dynamics ID series is probably one of the best SQ at the price? Would there be any disadvantages of getting the 15" besides that it will take more space and power because its about the same price?

No, you get the plus of larger cone area. Just try not to get swept away by the myths that you need a 10" or an 8" sub to get true SQ. 90 percent of it is in the installation, anyway. I have an ID10 and was very happy auditioning it in a friend's car. I'll be running it at 8 ohms on a RF P8004, so it'll be getting about 200W and I'll be happy with that.

Lol, prince. I remember picking your brain on the same thing. Glad to know you still stand by your Dayton. I'll probably play around with one in the future, but couldn't pass on 40 bucks for my ID10.

Lol I probably wouldn't either. Until something spectacular comes along for me to try, I am convinced the Dayton reference line is unbeatable under $200 with little to no competition.

Hmm. Either way good find. Those would be great and a steal for a pair, I'm sure.

^^^Ack, that's for dragnix.

Prince, I don't doubt it. Further down the road, I'll probably put 2 10" HOs in a ported box for a true SQL system. But not until I get my SQL car (Thinking early 90s Biarritiz or Monte Carlo with all OS components aside from the subs)
