Depends on the car. Anywhere from 130-150db

In an SUV, 147-154 is possible depending on power.

In a honda CRX, 155-158 db is possible depending on power.

i was a bit disappointed from that score

but it seems im not so poor as i thought

When I was doing my Nightshade 15" my goal was 150db with 1 15" in a hatchback. Got a buddy that has done it a few times in a ranger.

Big surround version, low tuned, in a trunk you're more or less where I'd expect. If your goal is just metering you can probably find some gains moving things around, opening vents, gorilla tape, etc.
