what your opinions

i got 2 friends of mine sellin these subs both in good condition but ive never herd side by side. so what are your opionions

ones got a Audioque HDC3 18" for 300

and the other has a DC Audio XL SPL 15 also for the same price.

what would you guys choose? and i got a 1500 rms amp so i got the power.

300 for a HDC3 is way too high, especially for a used one.

both are good subs, but the AQ is slightly overpriced, although it is an 18. At those prices, I would take the XL, but if the AQ was like 250, i would take that

which is why i actually would prefer the AQ if it was a little less...and depending on the coil as well, it is an 18..i dont really know what those go for new

Find out if it's aluminum or copper. I'd offer 250 for copper and 275 for aluminum if in mint condition.

Aluminums can handle more power (thermally, at least). The won't even get warm off 1500w, been there done that playing 30 hz test tones.

Not familiar with the DC SPL sub, but I know the AQ alum coil would like more then 1500watts. It will work off that amp, but would be louder with 2-3kw...
