What would you do (RE Audio SX vs. SE)?

My friend has a dilemma.

12" RE Audio SX

600 watts RMS

1.8 cu ft vented enclosure tuned to 30 hz

or

12" RE Audio SE

600 watts RMS

1.8 cu ft vented enclosure tuned to 30 hz

would the SX be underpowered with 600 watts? he is looking SPL over SQ.

my question is: will the SX be underpowered with 600w?

I think that the SE would get louder in that enclosure with that power

SX will be underpowed with 600, it can take just over double that power. SX would be much better suited for SPL, but with that power I would run the SE. Even though it is more of an SQ driver. SE can hammer the low-end though.

use theory...the bigger the box the less power it will need to achieve the same given output of a smaller box with alot of power

althought the se will work well with that power...i would put the sx12 in a 4 cube ported box tuned to 40hz with that power...and let it do itsa thing

push comes to shove..put the sx12 in 2cubes tuned to 40hz and slap 1500 on it and call it a day
