I have two Soundsplinter rl-p 12's that I will have in a 1 cu.ft chambered box. My amp decision has been narrowed down to two amps.

Viper 1200.1 off ikesound.com for 190 dollars

OR

A ed NINe.1 for 300 dollars off ebay

What amp would be the best buy for my setup of 1200 at 1 ohm. Will the Viper overheat or not?? If you have another amplifier suggestion please tell me preferably with the place to buy it. THANKS.

anyway, if you have the extra dough, get the nine.1 i've NEVER heard any complaints about them, it comes with a 3 year warranty, theyre rated at 12 volts, and its fan cooled. really its superior in every way to the viper besides looking cool.

Personally, I have a viper, and it's not having any overheating problems playing inside an inclosed tire well right next to another large amp. It looks cool and provides a lot of power, even being hooked up to 4 ohms as it is right now.

it basically comes down to the matter if you want to spend around $330 for the nine.1 or not.

The viper is a good amp but is you have the money go for the Ed nine.

Not sure about the problems some people are having with them, but there is always Phoenix Gold.. Either the octane series or the xenon.

I just sold a xenon 600.1 and it was a great amp, but was counting on using that cash to buy a amp with 1200 rms @1ohm. The ed NINe.1 would only cost me 50 dollars extra after my xenon's cash. I am trying to stay around 300 dollars max.
