What type of subs do I need?

Ok, kind of new to all of this and have done lots of reading, but not quite getting it.

I want to get 2-12" subs. Will run 1 amp. How do I maximize output from them? Do I get a 2 ohm or 4 ohm sub? SVC or DVC? Halp!

to answer your question we need to know what ohm load your amp can handle, if it can handle a 1 ohm load then you need 4 ohm DVC subs

Ok, I don't have an amp yet. I'm thinking my budget will be around $800 for subs, box, and amp. Willing to go to $1000, but would prefer not to. So as of now, I have nothing.

I listen mostly to rap about 50% of the time, but my tastes are all over the place. Looking more at SQ, but def wouldn't mind some SQL.

2 fi ssd's will be amazing, i def would get 2 of these, just takes 2 weeks to have them built to order. go ported since you listen to rap
