What type of sand paper for fiberglass box

As of now I am sanding down a fiberglass box that I’ve been working on the past 2 days. I want to get all the rough spots out of it and make the box as smooth as possible for painting. Right now Im using 150 and 220 grit sand paper. Is this sufficient enough of do I need to go to either a higher or lower grit type? What grit should I use for the rough spots and what should I use for fine tuning the sooth surfaces

I'd start with 80 grit for the rough parts,then 180,then 320,then prime it,block it down with maybe 400 or 800 grit,and paint it

i would use bondo or fibergel...then sand smooth

You can start with any grit you want. I start at 80, you can go lower if you need to. Then just work your way up to 400 or 600 if you plan on painting.
