hey i was wondering what the best type of plexi to seal the holes in my door

i bought a sheet o plexi the hobby kind its 1/4 inch thick almost impossible to cut took me forever with a hax saw just to make 1square.

I saw at Home Depot this stu called lexon it wasnt as thick but said it was like 200x as strong as glass will that do the job?

thanks

Many people use sound deadner (Dynamat, Raamat kind of stuff) because it has an adhesive backing and covers the holes and deadens without being very thick.

Which might be inportant if you hope to use the original door panel.

Why use anything like that? Sounds like a whole lot of work... you deadening your doors at the same time? Cut out a sheet of thick cardboard the size of the hole, then layer it on BOTH sides with some good butyl mat (like Raam), with an overhang of 1" or so, then tack it up, and layer more mat over the top. This is a good techniques I've seen used, and it seems like it's pretty solid. You can substitute some heavy wire mesh or something for the cardboard if you really want more strength.

The steel method above would work, too. Just cover both sides with mat so you don't get any rattling.
