I am looking at installing some headrest monitors in my '04 escalade. I see two options.
1) Buy the factory replacements that match the interior color (shale)
2) Buy just the monitors and cut into headrest and install.
Option 1 would probably be the easiest but cost much more and the screen size appears to be limited to 7". I've seen these and they are pretty small. I would like to go option 2 and opt for a 9" screen if it's possible. My question is this. Will a 9" screen fit in the factory headrest and does anyone have any experience in cutting into the factory headrest to install the monitors? Any links to install steps of option 2 would be greatly appreciated.
FYI - I currently have a head unit that will play DVD with video/audio inputs in the back of the receiver.
