Well i took my car to the local audio shop who advertised tint jobs. I give the guy my keys and he walks away, i said does he know what percent i want and the guy said he is doing "blah blah blah 35% because its legal". So i go with the flow, i wanted darker but i wasnt going to say anything. Well it takes 3 hours to do a toyota solara coupe. They tell me to not roll the windows down for at least 4 days. Today is day number 5. All of the bubbles have gone away....except in the rear window. The top part of my rear window has little dots on the top. most cars have them it might be the antenna or maybe even defrost things. That section looks HORRIBLE. It seems like there is still fluid all over the place and looks very half *** in that one section. On my small side windows the guy left a tiny untinted line around between the actual tint and factory tint. There is also a few part on the back window where you can see the guy didnt cut exact. There is a life-time warranty on the tint. I am not really satisfied with the darkness or the top back part OR the lines that look half ***. I want to take it back and ask them to take it all off and refund my money so i can go downtown and get what i really want. Think they will refund me or just do it again and again until i tell them its satisfactory?

ya there not going to take it off and refund your money. the most they will do is redo the window. and if you want it darker your going to more than likely have to pay. when i got mine redone if i wanted to use my "life time warranty" it had to be the same %.

it just makes me mad because they didnt even ask me " hey is 35% ok?" they just take my shit likes its theirs and put on some no very dark shit. And on top of that do a shitty job. I am going to go try to take some pics, but i doubt you will be able to tell what i am talking about.

You should have said something before you left the place, i wouldnt have even drove out of there in the first place.
haha yeah i wouldnt have either, besides the fact that he told me there would be bubbles for a few days until the sun makes them leave, which was true so i figured it would all be ok..... AND it was RAINING outside at that moment so all of it looked good for the 30 seconds i looked at it running out to the car.

take it back and show him the bubbles, and the spot they missed.

they might only do legal tint jobs because if somebody got pulled over for illegal tint, they might have snitched out the place that did it for them. going darker will cost more.

only thing is... SC tint laws state 27% is legal all around.... therefore, why in the hell would they do 35%

thats strange, maybe they are playin it safe lol. but take that shit back! their work will speak for itself, you shouldnt even have to give them a hard time if it looks that bad.

This is all the way around on both small windows

they cant legally apply illegal tint.....which is why places that do dont give you a receipt. I cant believe you went to extreme lmao!
man, i just figured they would know what they were doing. I know that was dumb, the place downtown would have done a way better job the first time. Check out the pics man.

BTW im glad to see you took that quote out of your sig. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

haha......did they do john's car? or had you seen any they had done before yours? Take a picture tom during the day. Is 35% really not dark enough?

what shop did you go to?

if you are anywhere near rock hill check out Carolina Auto Tint....the owners are Fred and Shaun and i can guarantee you would be hard pressed to find a better tint job with 100 miles at least...In used to work with both of them and they are phenomenal tinters
