Yeah, dude, I would guess anything that would cut the metal material. But then youre getting into some serious stuff, especially on a truck that looks so nice.

A gas axe would work too but would leave alot of grinding work afterwards to clean up the cut

An airsaw works best. The nicest part about that is no chance of starting a fire, marring paint, annealing surrounding metal, etc... Final bonus is that you can with a small amount of work weld the panel back in place if you ever decide to eliminate the cut-through. The saw removes the smallest amount of material as waste. An airsaw is much easier to get into tight spots than a jigsaw (and it cuts faster) and is easier to control than a sawzall.
