What subs?

F'ing stroke at age 49... can't even drink anymore... so im learning new things atm... no more stressful jobs for this kid.Over 2 years and I'm still recovering... it was a bad one... lol
That's harsh dude. You gotta do what you gotta to stay well, hoping you keep getting better dude.

I want boom
I always love when they say that... then they actually hear some loud lowz... that under 35hz stuff is addictive at high volume... but it's not "boom"... lol... breaks stuff too

Still got a headache from the last SPL type setup I demoed... 150db plus at 50hz is "boomy"... lol...headache bass.

two american bass XFL 10s or 12s on a soundqubed 2250.1. You'll need a big 3 upgrade and a 2nd group 31 battery.
This is **** good advice excellent budget setup, especially if you can get the new model XFL with the deeper basket, but even if not the old model is still **** good. and can be found very cheap used on Craigslist offer up or even at pawn shops and such, and if you have room a single 15 might be a good option as well.

And I stand corrected! Definetly a good box design has a lot to do with it. Now imagine that same type of setup with the American Bass subs and SQ amp as Jeff suggested.
I agree, but that would require twice as much power.

And you can get a pair type s 12 for $160, price of one xfl.

With the pioneer gym-d9601 for $150. Pretty good budget setup. With a good enclosure, it would sound good. And the type S is a highly underrated woofer. It’s got some good design in it.

Agreed although highly underrated I'm not sure of, I have a 10 and 12. Agree with you though that its design is solid. I'm going to build a nice 2 cube box for my SA-12 so it might be an opportunity to do some AB testing comparing the two with the same box. I will be the first to say the sound quality of the Alpine is good in the right box. I almost pulled the trigger on the American Bass XFL but the 3" coil demands bigger power than I felt my stock electrical can supply and I didn't want to get myself into that situation. The 2.5 " coil of the Sundown strikes a better balance for me at this point.

Additinally, no need to reference "max" anything as those specs are useless. Most of know how to look at specs for a given speaker, amp, HU, etc...

If they had an orange basket I would have to buy them.... Hmmmm Sell my 4 Xs and get 6 of those and do no-wall again with one more 4500.....

That’s the little single 6.5 inch enclosure. The Savard did just as well as the RDS. These subs do well in ported or 6th orders but not as well...

Look at the Alpine Type S subs.
