What subs will get loudest?

You should orer some funky pups, they are doing a mass buy. Hurry and you could get some of the loudest farkin subwoofers ever made!!!

Really though I dont think we can tell you. Youll need some shallow subs so most likely the duo you chose will not be anything winning SPL comps if that is what you are looking for.

It is just a normal sealed box. I was just wondering if you wanted SPL what subs would you put in it? I was thinking about 2 Adire Shivas but i dont know how they would sound with only 1.25^3 ft.

how about a pair of kicker 12'' comp vr

the minimum air space required is 1.0 cubic feet per sub

what kind of amp will you be using and can it be

bridge to a 2 ohm or 4 ohm load.

the kicker 12 '' comp vr have dual 4ohm or dual 2ohm voice coils

if you amp can only be bridge to a 4ohm load

then get a pair of the kicker 12'' comp vr with the dual 4ohm voice coils

follow the wiring instruction that comes with the subs

kicker clearly explans how to wire both subs for a 4 ohm load

or

if you amp can be bridge to a 2 ohm load

then get a pair of the kicker comp vr with the dual 2 ohm voice coils

follow the wiring instruction that come with the subs

kicker clearly explans how to wire both subs for a 2 ohm load

my brother inlaw has these subs in a truck box similar to yours

powerd by a kicker zr 600 amp wired at a 4 ohm

they play loud

Yes 1.25 each. I have a BOSS 850 watt mono block amp i dont know about the ohms. I dont know if this is a good amp, i can always buy another if i need to.

Actually in it right now i have 2 12" Audiobahn 1251SE and i want to upgrade to something that will play louder than those!

2 shivas 2 re 12's the kickers.....im no bahn expert (by choice) but if those are the littler ones they go into mechanical distortion well before they make it to their rated power.

hey bigblue gmc

ever seen the price for an image dynamic Id 12v3 over at cardomain

only like $449.00 dollars each and they give you free shipping

man that's $900.00 dollars for a pair of subs

then you will have to build a new box cuz the truck box you have now

will be to shallow for those subs they need 7 plus inches of mounting depth

not to mention a minimum of 1.50 cubic feet of air space per sub

and a amplifer that can put out a thousand watts rms per sub

there are alot of mono amp that can do this cost being a factor

just to name a few: zapco c2k 9.0, kicker sw1250.1, jl audio 1000.1, hifonics bd 1500.1, jbl 1200, crossfire 1000 and more

just look in this forum under 1000 watt amps you will find them all listed

now let's use the system you have

the boss amp that you have if it's model boss riot r850

max power into 1 ohm is 850 watts

so you will need pair of 12'' subs with dual 4 ohm voice coils

pair wired for a 1 ohm load

850 watts divided by two subs = 425 watts per sub (more or lest)

depending on amp power supply (built)

is this your truck box spec:

( height 15'' )x (width 17'') x (depth at top 7'') (depth at bottom 12'')

if not please please post spec

hey termlab if you are reading this how about some spec as to building a ported truck box one cubic feet plus port for a eight inch kicker L7

meaning : height

width

depth at top

depth at bottom

square port or round port

port height, port width, port length, and (tuned to what feq /hz)

and how you came up with figures and will it fit into big blue gmc

because he only wants a pair of twelves to put into the box he has now

That's the longest sentence ever.

Hey Thecybe

Sure was (exhale) lol.

Ever tried mounting a 12'' spl/sq sub (cost $499.00 each)

which req a minimum of 1.50 cuft per sub and a mounting depth of 7''

in a truck box with a depth of 5'' with an internal air space of 1.25 cuft,

then powering it with 1000 watts?
