What subs? Total of 5000 RMS. Need 155db!

Like the title says. My truck is capable of about 4 or 5kw. I'm looking for subs and amp (s) that can take me to 155db. No wall. Max enclosure 35in wide,25in deep, and 40in tall.

Money does matter too. $1500 is about all, but i could extend that to 2000 if i need to.

Please suggest something besides kickers. And if you are going to hate on that opinion go to a diiferent thread.

Im sure there are plenty of other people on here that could tell you better than i can. But i would say 3 American Bass XFL 15"s running off of a good 5k, possibly a taramps hd 5000 1 ohm, i bet this combo would definitely reach into the 150+ range. XFL are about 200 each and the taramps 5k is 620-650ish. So looking at around $1300 total. But the best way to find great stuff is look for used. You can find some sweet deals on here sometimes.

I understand that. But with the power and space he has i belive that would be a good combination, i dont have much experience with 150 cars and i am by no means an expert.

No wall on 5k doing 155db.... Good luck... what vehicle do you have to do a no wall and have the box 40" tall? Your specs you gave for box size is very weird... Shlt my Tahoe isn't even 40" tall inside from floor to roof in my cargo area

I've got a no wall set up to. Prolly at or close to a 154. On 2. 18s. But a tfhe9.0 12k amp. But it can be done. But it won't be easy for you I'd say 2 monster subs and a 5k amp. Then another 5k amp later to add. But you need a very stout electrical to

Yeah I agree. 155 no wall and only 5k not happening, now a 150 is possible for sure. You have around 20cf, Id go with 2 18s. Zv3s, Hdc3s, Pretty much anything in the 1500-2krms range. Install is going to play the biggest role.

Seems like you would have enough airspace for either. I don't think you have any idea what 155 is though. If you intend to get there it may be possible but with 5K it won't be doing much music
