What Subs to choose for a blow through in a S10?

Ok so the DC and the HDC subs are looking better, would those two brands be better than digital design? Also are either of those companies amplifiers better than the 2 fosgate T2500 I am looking at?Thanks again this is all great information and helpful.

the dd is a nice sub ,is the dc ,musically i like the dc better ,also the dd is a bit more money about 300 + each for the 3512 new .as far as amps ,i'd go wth the dd m4a if you wanna spend $1400 on a amp or the dc or vfl amps for a little less

Unless you can get your hands on LV6, I wouldn't bother with the DC. That's about the only one of theirs I was impressed with. The old LV5 (with the 3" coil) does pretty well with some better softparts in it, but you're at the mercy of DC if you ever break the new ones with the odd sized coil.

The DD is a superior product if you want to meter well and have the money to spend. No reason you can't make a 150 with a pair of 12" 9500's on 5KW. Those Rockford 2500's are pretty beast as well, but make sure you have a substantial battery bank to try to run that sort of power. Whatever you plan to spend on amps, plan another 50% of that price into electrical upgrades.

I run that with my electrical. You could do the same.

Audioque (sound qubed) have typically been hit or miss. Their quality control has been poor in the past, but if you get a good one, they go pretty nice. DD will be better build quality and performance, but double the money most likely.

The HDC4 for the price is simply almost impossible to beat. Tony has had his 4 for a while now and beat the crap out of them daily and even worse at shows.. Does 157.2 @ 41 hz and 155.9 @ 37 hz...

When I was employed by them(AQ/DD) we did a ton of testing with the HDC4 and various DD drivers. Only the Z out performed the HDC4 in any test and that was simply because of its cooling ability.
