What Subs to choose for a blow through in a S10?

Hello

I am looking at subs that I can get that will be good for SPL and SQ as well. I have been looking at the Kicker L715" subs as well as some of the Fosgate subs. I am not dead set on the 15" just thinking of doing a few local competitions and wouldn't mind being able to get to the 150s for SPL.

I am looking at powering the subs with 2 Fosgate T2500 Amps, looking at trying to keep the subs under $500 but dont mind spending a little more if they are worth it. I will be doing a blow through in my 94' S10 and will take up the entire bed space if needed.

Thanks for any information and help.

12's are the only subs that will fit back there in the bad ,with a tonneau cover over them .i'd do 4 12's .$500 is gonna be tough tho ,for subs that will get those numbers for you and take that power

I was thinking $500 per sub, sorry I didn't make that clear. I was thinking $500 per 15" sub, so I would do $1000 for subs. If 12 are my only option then that would be about $250 per sub then. So 2 15" subs would not fit, what 12's would you recommend then?

are the Kicker L7 subs, or the Kicker CVX ones be good or are there better subs in that price range?thank you
Depends on the price range you are finding them in. You will find on this forum no one cares much for kicker because there is a rather large "band wagon" for hating them. However, the L7's are not all that bad as long as you give them a rather large enclosure. They are not the same as older products they had before. The amps are nothing desirable at this time.

To be fair, if you are finding them at local shops then yes there is far better out there and many of those brands can be purchased online.

OP one thing you need to remember is that some subs work better in a 6th than a 4th. 6th's usually take way more room because both chambers are ported, so don't buy subs that don't work well in a 4th and run out of room because you didn't realize you needed a 6th order.

I can get kicker, fosgate at dealer cost from a local shop that I have connections at.
still not worth the money you pay for them ,get better subs ,you wont regret it.all the subs i have mentioned can be reconed as well the kicker L7's cant and the cvx subs aren't worth the money.same with the fosgate subs .there are much better for your money

Ok so the DC and the HDC subs are looking better, would those two brands be better than digital design? Also are either of those companies amplifiers better than the 2 fosgate T2500 I am looking at?

Thanks again this is all great information and helpful.
