If I do this, it will be a true IB install in an Avalanche. The baffle will replace the midgate.Qts = Qtc for IB. You can use a driver with a medium to high Qts (~0.4 to 0.8), low Fs and high excursion. Of course, this assumes you have a very large cavity you are placing the driver in. Otherwise, it becomes a large sealed enclosure with leaks.
The IXL-18 was built primarily for this purpose, which is why you don't see too many of them in car installs.
