What sub to get..

Okay, I have a soundstream Rub500-2 that puts out 500rmw bridged @ 4 ohms, and a 2.5inch ported box (fit for a 12). I am going to buy an alpine HU (not sure what model yet) whenever I buy the sub.

I am not sure what kind of sub to get with this set up. I'd like a sub that has some decent SQ, but also hits hard (seems like that has been said a lot on these forums). I have looked into ed...but their techs on the site have told me that using a an 'O' in a ported box will sound like crap. Does anyone have some suggestions of a sub that might sound good in that box, w/ that amp? Thanks a bunch.

hmmm 500 watts. Magnum D2 comes to mind. theyr 600rms and can take a whole lot more. theyr $300 shipped. http://www.stereointegrity.com

or theres Ed K's. theyr 350 rms. im sure itd be fine with 500 as long as u know what ur doing. these are about $120 shipped. http://www.esdesignaudio.com

or Re SE's. that would work really well actually. theyr 600 rms and work awesome in ported boxes. (i have em) http://www.respl.com theyr like $160

Well I'd like to keep it under 200 dollars for the sub.

Obviously the cheaper the better...but I dont really want to buy something I won't be happy with...so If i have to fork over a little more money for something more reliable and of good quality, then I'd do that.

BTW, I looked on the RE website, where do they have the actual cost of each sub? I cannot seem to find it anywhere (I emailed their sales department, but havent gotten a response yet.).

calling them would be much easier. Even if they had prices on their website they would be MSRP and ud have to call them for real prices shipped to ur door.
