What Sub ID or RE

You know I'm probably going to get bashed and flamed for this but for the set-up in which it sounds like your aiming for, I wouldn't shoot for such a high end sub. Fi's are Nice and so are Re's but your not going to be pushing them if your only trying to run 250 watts rms... A good sub I recommend to the DD for good SQ is, and please don't hate lol... Rockford Fostgate P-2, 10 inch 2 ohm series... These subs are seriously under rated. There SQ is amazing, real rich and clear... Yes there no fi, or re or id but for what your trying to do I think they would work out nicely... There 250 watts rms so right on your range. I can get the p2's for 88.00 shipped if your interested, pm me.... Or if you want to go a stage louder, p3, but there 400 watt - 500 watt rms so I don't recommend...

I am not going to be hating on you, I agree on the first part. If your only going to run 250 wrms then i would not get any of the ones you listed either.

you need more power for those.

I do not have any XP with rockford Subs so can't say, I know their amps are pretty good, well the power series is good stuff, little high but hey I like fosgate amps myself. I would run Fosgate power series amps, so yea, good stuff.

Rockford AMPS are nice but way to expensive, I do agree. There subs though wooo. For installations who are not looking for 800+ rms, I always always recommend to go with a fostgate series. I have had experience with all 3 of there mid-line stages, and honestly they just blow the other contenders out of the water in that range. I don't recommend them for spl or any craziness in that area. But I mean c'mon, 2 subs for 196.00, 500 watts rms @ 2 ohm load ...Can't really beat that... Lots of people go for the alpine type R's and they are nice as well but to expensive, like 210.00 a piece and your getting almost the same if not less quality with alpine over rockford. Theres just something about rockfords clean sound that I love... I'll post some vids of my next install.

cheers folks

Look at the Hertz Energy subs. I am running two 10's off a Zapco REF500.1 and they do great. I would also consider the ID10 have been running one for about year and have been very impressed.

I am a IDQ fan but the Hertz and ID10 sound great.

Of the two you asked about I prefer the IDQ having owned both. Between the Hertz, ID and IDQ it is a toss up for me. The Hertz and ID are cheaper. So bang for the buck for me goes to both of them.
