what size

So... I lost the bolts that mount my head unit cage to my mounting bracket...

Anyone know what general size they are and the ends of them need to be like a deep dish for it to mount flush I have no idea what thats called?

Probably one of the noobiest questions I have ever asked but I don't know anything about nuts and bolts and dont want to walk into a hardware store with my headunit and try and match each one up until I find a match.

Are these bolts factory parts or from a kit? Are they threading into your head unit? The cages I'm imaging are just a sleeve with tabs to bend.

They didnt come with the mounting kit but I think they usually come with the head unit and yes they thread into the head unit

Look on the side of your head unit. One of a couple of Alpine units I have next to me has "M4 x 5MM MAX" on the side. That's the kind of thing you need to find replacement screws. You might have a hard time finding screws with a beveled head.

they ended up being 5mm by 16mm. I think they probably should of came with the mounting kit. Wtf metra.
