What size woofers do you favor?

15's...All i have ever had...Almost bought an 18 my last setup though..Would like to get a single 18" BTL or something along those lines.

This poll is really based on personal preference, not about anything "ideal". So it's not as retarded as some of the other polls. Even then, those other polls still deal with favorites and not anything scientifically based

Okay, so give me a reasonable explanation why you would prefer one particular size of subwoofer or another, given no other criteria with which to chose the speaker size. Some people will say they love 10's for the fast bass response. Some people will say they love 18's for the sheer low-end output they produce. In reality, all these things are nothing more than generalizations of nothing real. I understand your point, but can anyone even give me a logical reason for having a favorite 'size' of subwoofer for all situations?

and btw audioholic, I have to agree, the majority of responses here are little more than generalizations based on individually unique and limited experiences being poorly extrapolated to entire populations.

A good SQ 10 or 12 is my preference. Although I have heard some setups with a single 8 that sound pretty good.
