What size wire? Need input ASAP.

I'll be running two MB Quart DWE-254 10" subs and a Soundstorm 1F850 amp, and was wondering what size wires to use?

The subs are 250rms and the amp is 500rms. Thanks.

8 gauge for power/ground should be sufficient. If you plan on upgrading go ahead and run 4 or even 0.

just fyi, i've been running 18 gauge to my subs for 3 years now with no problems. gonna upgrade to 12 gauge soon though

for power wire I would go ahead and do 4 awg

and 16 awg / 12 awg speaker wire works just fine

18awg speaker wire is a little on the skimpy side.

how about 18 gauge for just regular speakers? i go by the assumption that it's better than the ultra-skinny wire (almost thinner than factory wirning) provided with all my component speaks
