What size wire from Amp to Sub?

I have an AQSDC2.5 10" and these speakers have 8 gauge running off of the voicecoils.. Do I need to run 8 gauge from my amp to the sub or will I be okay with like 12-14 gauge?

If you have some 8 gauge lying around, use it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy 8 gauge wire for this...

Yeah Im feeling the same way.. Will I be able to tell a difference in sound between 8 gauge and 12-14?

I wouldn't use 14 gauge, but that's just me. I usually use 12 gauge for every speaker, 10 gauge if the sub is getting more than 1,000 watts. That's not a rule or anything. It's just something I've always done...

Ohh looked like 8 gauge to me... well Im gonna be buying a 25' roll of 10 AWG from ebay.
