I plan on running a second battery in my trunk pretty soon and I was wondering what size wire I should run to it. I have zero gauge right now as it is but should I go bigger? Also, I remember reading a thread where someone mentioned that if you run a second battery you need to put a second fuse on the power wire connecting the two batteries, one under hood and one in the trunk. What type of fuses would I need?

I would definitely link them with 1/0 gauge and also, you will need TWO fuses (I would go ANL fuses and fuse holders..).

You will probably want to get two 1/0 gauge fuse holders and (2) 250-300 amp fuses...you will need to put the one upfront near the front battery like normal...but then you'll need to fuse on that same run near the rear battery's positive terminal as well..

This is incase that run of 1/0 grounds itself and if you dont have the rear one...the front one will blow but the short circuit will still be drawing off of your rear battery and all kinds of bad $hit happens //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif...
