I am confused as hell as to what size to recone my TREO CSX motor to. Its going in a trunk car on 1800-2000watts. I was originally going to leave it as an 18", but I've found that my car gets louder with subs firing back. Its not a huge difference, but I can hear it.

I could do a 15 firing back, but in your opinion would a 15 firing back be louder than a 18" firing up? I was also thinking of going with a 12" just for the cool factor, since that big of a motor on a 12 would look sick:eek:. I'm trying to get as loud as possible to the ear, I have no plans to compete. Loud and low are my main priorities, so keep that into consideration also. I have a huge trunk, so enclosure size isn't an issue.

The 15? The 18 won't fit unless I do a funky slant, and I'd rather keep it simple. I'm not that great with wood yet.

I keep em cumming don't I;)

if you didn't already have that sick motor i'd tell you to do 2 or 3 12's sealed to the front of the car. 1 sub in your car i'd go with the 15 facing the back

Aren't we helpfull today? You know I was thinking about aaahhhrrrgrrgs, but I just can't do it.

The 18 has the lead, but its not a large margin. The 12 surprisingly is neck-neck with the 15. Do you guys really think a 12 with the same parts could be as loud as either one of these? If thats the case I'm going with the 12 just for bragging rights. Remember this is for daily and low tuned, I don't care about sq too much, but I don't want a 1 note wonder either
