30's or nothin! naw j/k... theres a few around here with 20's and some beefy "street" tires and they look good. but for off road, some 18's with 33's or 35's look sweet
we have 15" chrome mags that came off of a 96 grand cherokee we had...they have some spots on them(need a good polishing) but look nice besides that...dont have the lugnuts though. I think dad was trying to get like $250 shipped for the set
20" is the sweetspot, smaller wont look that great, bigger will look t big for the truck. For my xxx/40/xx tires look good on cars but not for SUVs xxx/50/xx is the right size for SUV IMO.
PS: I'll put 18" on my explorer cause of the price/performance/look factor.
I'm from the old school where small rims and lots of meat is sweet. LOL. I would go with 15"ers myself.
Are you going to lift it?
Depending on the lift, and tire size, I would go with a set of 17" rims, 33" Toyo Open Country M/T's. They are an expensive tire, but I'm on the diesel forums alot, and the guys say these are the only mud tires that last on the highway, and bush roads. Well worth an extra couple hundred to get antoher year's wear out of them.
lift it and put some 15" wheels with 31" mud tires. looks good as hell. and you could even wheel it if you're not afraid of getting a jeep dirty... to fit 33's you're looking at a $2000 lift kit becuase of al lthe control arms you have to buy to make it work. 35's, double that. grands are great but very very expensive to lift.
the lift for 31's cost about $400 shocks included.
