What Size of Box for 3 JL Audio 12W3's

First, I am not a newbie for getting JL Audio. LOL. I bought a friend's set of 3 JL Audio 12W3's. I got them really really cheap and that is why I bought them. I am going to use them on my Kicker KX1200.1 amp @ 1-ohm. They are all Dual 2-ohm.

Anyway, I was wondering if someone could recommend a box size? I was thinking of going all sealed but I could go ported maybe with round ports not slotted I would. I can't go too large of a box though as I need space in my trunk.

I think I can fit around 36"L x 20"D x 16"H.

Any recommnedations?

I dont think you have enough room to port them to their potention....go sealed...

yes thats right..you gotta go sealed..i have 3 JL 12's too..but ported and my box is 7 cubes...dont think that will fit..i had mine in a sealed box when i bought mine they slammed when..i could meaure that box for ya if you like..its in my room...its like this... l \ type box...about 38" wide about 15 high and 16 deep..i will meaure if you like this design..it was used in a mustang....i hard wired my subs to the amp..no terminals...they are nice subs arent they...if you need more info..just PM me or whatever..thanks

What abot this box?

It's a SubZone Box that holds 3 12's (obviously).

1.3 cu ft per chamber (3 chambers)

11 1/8" cut-out diameter (will that work for my 12W3's?)

38"W x 17"H x 14.5"D is the box size.

I am actually going to get a box that has the staggered look. 3 12's lined up across with the middle slightly lower than the outer 2. That way my width won't be too long and the heigth can be a little larger but not to huge.

I will still have the 1.25 cu ft per driver and it will be a common chamber.
