what size inline fuse 1/0 gauge zx1000.1 zx450.2?

It's only bad if the wire is undersized for the load, otherwise it is ok the go under what the wire can handle because it'll blow before the wire gets the slightest chance to burn up.
Not necessarily, because I keep hearing people come on here saying their fuses keep blowing, and the way they chose a fuse size was by that method. The wire is designed to handle a 300A load, so why fuse for (sometimes) 1/3rd of that? You'll only have to buy a bigger fuse later if you upgrade.
